Christmas surprise for the ‘Sieben Brunnen’ school in Finsterwalde
As we all know, Christmas is the time for presents.
However, we have decided to forego Christmas presents and Christmas mail to our customers and business partners and instead support a regional institution that is particularly close to our hearts.
The good cooperation with the ‘Sieben Brunnen’ school over the last two years has shown us how valuable and important their work is for children and young people who need special educational support in the areas of mental, physical-motor and emotional-social development.
We ourselves have fully integrated a pupil from this school into everyday working life through a long-term internship in our warehouse and supported him on his path towards an apprenticeship. In addition to intensive practical support, we were able to provide him with a driving licence for industrial trucks.
We are donating 1,500 euros to the school and the school’s support association to purchase six reclining cushions to enable pupils to work in different, dynamic body positions.
The aim is to support physical mobility and posture and also to strengthen the pupils’ sensory perception and motor development. By varying the working positions, individual needs can be better taken into account and the ability to concentrate can be increased.
On 20 December 2020, the donation cheque was ceremoniously handed over to headmistress Annette Jäpel as part of the weekly Christmas carol singing.
